The VSX-834 7.2-Channel AV Receiver delivers immersive Dolby Atmos sound at a price the competition cannot beat. In a 15% slimmer design than the previous model, the VSX-834 is full of easy-to-use features, including the 4K indicator, Personal Preset and Bluetooth® Input buttons on the front panel. In addition to offering immersive sound with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio formats, the AV receiver can also decode Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer and DTS Virtual:X, letting you experience similar virtual surround effects without using height or surround speakers. The latest video standards such as Ultra HD, HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision™ can be enjoyed with support for HDCP 2.2. And with the Zone B feature, you can enjoy music playing in the Main Zone via wireless headphones.
Real Life Sound
With Dolby Atmos® capability on the VSX-834 you can get lifelike, object-oriented sound in smooth, curving movements or realistic overhead height effects without employing additional surround sound or up-firing speakers.
4k HDR Ready
Enjoy support for HDR (High Dynamic Range) video including HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision®, and BT.2020. Additionally 4:4:4 color space is also supported. Six HDMI inputs, ARC-ready MAIN OUT, and SUB OUT pass 4K/60p and HDR video from player to compatible TV and projector; and all terminals are HDCP 2.2 compliant.
Smooth & Easy Bluetooth
Whatever audio is playing on your phone, tablet, or PC app can be streamed to the receiver with Bluetooth wireless technology. Once the receiver has paired with and remembered your device, it will start playback automatically whenever it detects an incoming Bluetooth audio stream.
Customized to You
MCACC auto room tuning uses a custom microphone to automatically compensate for differences in speaker size, level and distance, and equalizes response, so you get the even sound you’re supposed to.
Additional Features
DTS:X
Can automatically adapt the audio to the existing channels and speaker system, so no specific speaker layout is required.
DTS Virtual:X
With DTS Virtual:X, you can enjoy a three-dimensional immersive sound similar to DTS:X, without the need of height or rear speakers. The technology supports 2 to 7.1.4-channel input source, for delivery on 2 to 5.1 or even 7.1-channel speaker layouts. DTS Virtual:X works with all DTS codecs, including DTS:X.
Zone B Output for Wireless Headphones
You can listen to the sound playing in the living room via wireless headphones.
